What is CV-Transformer?
CV-Transformer is a productivity tool designed for recruitment professionals. It uses AI to:
Extract and structure data from candidate CVs
Reformat CVs into standardized, client-ready layouts
Provide writing assistance (e.g. generate short introductions or summaries)
Recruiters remain in full control and can edit all content before it is shared.
EU AI Act Classification
We have assessed CV-Transformer under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the "AI Act") and determined that it qualifies as a limited-risk AI system, subject to the transparency obligations outlined in Chapter 4.
Key Justifications
Intended purpose: Writing and formatting assistance only No profiling: AI does not assess, score, or rank candidates Human-in-the-loop: Users review and approve all content Transparency: Clear UI labels indicate AI-generated content User control: Recruiters can edit/delete AI output freely Model flexibility: Users choose the AI provider; we enforce guardrails via system prompts
We actively prevent AI from being used to:
Predict hiring success
Score or rank candidates
Risk Level: Limited Risk (Transparency Required)
Because CV-Transformer includes an optional AI assistant that generates written content, we meet the “limited risk” criteria. We fulfill transparency obligations by:
Clearly labelling AI-generated content
Informing users that the assistant is AI-powered
Blocking prompts that request profiling or evaluation
We have no indicators of high-risk use (Annex III), such as automated hiring or profiling.
Documentation
We maintain an internal record of our AI system’s classification, functionality, and safeguards, available on request.
